Guido Sáenz - Biography
Born in Costa Rica, 1929.
He is very known in the Costa Rican cultural environment.
Actor and professor at the Costa Rican University for more
than 20 years.
Music critic and newspaper writer, in "La Nación"
Newspaper.
Culture, Youth and Sports Minister (2002-2006)
In 1980, "La Nación" Newspaper declared him
the most outstanding figure of the decade in the cultural
environment of Costa Rica.
Former Costa Rican Art Musem Director.
Direction and production of "Atisbos", weekly Costa
Rican television program (García Monge Award)
Author of the theatre artwork "La llamada del tiempo"
(Time Call), National Award
In 1988 he received the National Culture Magón Award.
Guido Sáenz is dedicated today almost completely to
painting.
